Although both words can be used as nouns and verbs,
“effect” is usually used as a
noun and “affect” is usually used as a verb.

Incorrect: Can I be apart of your group?
Correct: Can I be a part of your group?

distance.” These two rocks are
three feet apart from each other. “A part” is two
