Ch.27 Preposition

1. Look at the above picture and fill in the blanks with the prepositions given with them.

a. In picture 1 the mouse is under the box.

b. In picture 2 the mouse is between the two boxes.

c. In picture 3 the mouse is near/next to the box.

d. In picture 4 the mouse is in/inside the box.

e. In picture 5 the mouse is behind the box.

f. In picture 6 the mouse is on the box.

g. In picture 7 the mouse is in front of the box.

2. Choose the correct prepositions and fill in the blanks.

a. The bag is under the table. (at/under)

b. There is a spider on the ceiling. (on/in)

c. Our scooter is parked behind Mr Ravi’s car. (behind, over)

d. There is no one at the gate. (in/at)

e. The photograph was lying among the letters. (among/between)

2. Fill in the blanks with suitable prepositions from the box.

Use each of the prepositions only once.
