                                         (Ch: Fractions, Time, Measurement, Money, Patterns and Symmetry)

Q.III State whether the following statements are true or false.

1. Eight thirty in the evening is written as 8:30 a.m.

2. There are 60 minutes in an hour.

3. When the minute hand is at 3 and the hour hand is at 1, the time is 1:10.

4. There are 48 hours in 2 days.

5. A ruler is used to measure the weight.

6. Litre and millilitre are the standard units of measuring capacity.

7. The capacity of smaller quantities is measured in litre.

8. To convert rupees to paise, multiply the rupees by 100.

9. To convert  paise to rupees, divide the paise by 100.

10. The next number in the pattern 5, 7, 9 is 11.

 

Q.II Solve the following.

1. Ritesh had ₹ 734.50. Out of which, he gave ₹ 385.17 to his friend. How much money is left with him?

2. Arrange vertically and add: ₹ 403.24 + ₹ 287.56

3. Subtract ₹ 361.75 from ₹ 728.25

4. Harsh had participated in marathon. He had to complete the distance of 9 km 250 m to win the marathon.Out of which he covered 4 km 570 m. How much distance is left to be covered to win the marathon?

5. Arrange vertically and add: 7 kg 384 g and 2 kg 189 g

6. Subtract 4 l 397 ml from 8 l 526 ml

7. Find  ⅟ 4 of 28.
